Breakfast and the buffet dinner

At the heart of the village brain sur Vilaine, the Grand'maison, with its park bordered by the Vilaine and the towpath, will make you to enjoy some precious moments of relaxation.

Take advantage of the calm of the surroundings by playing the piano in the living room or by leafing through a book from our extensive library in the shade of our grand 100 year old tree.

 

Breakfast.

Breakfast is served in the warm and welcoming surroundings of the dining room around a large round table.

Fresh bread, croissants, homemade cakes, fruit, dairy products, cereals, fruit juice, hot drinks…and not forgetting homemade jams will give you the appetite for a day of walks and hikes or… work.

The Buffet

Combining local recipes, traditional dishes and seasonal recipes with more creative culinary delights, Cathy and Francois invite you to enjoy a pleasant meal with them around the large round table.

Whether dinner is served beside an open fireplace, or a drink before dinner is served in the garden during summer, each period of the year has its own special charm in the Grand`Maison and our menus change depending on the produce of the vegetable garden and the local market.

  • Crémée de petits pois (Cream of peas)
  • Tartine de legumes au basilica (Bread with basil and garlic flavoured vegetables)
  • Filet mignon en croûte (Pork)
  • Poulet au cidre et aux marrons (Chicken in cider and Redon chestnuts)
  • Gâteau nantais (A traditional Nantes cake)
  • Soupe de fraise à la badiane (Strawberry and aniseed soup).
